1. About the service

Ying-Ting Wang, operating as an individual (not a registered company) under the brand "TCMLens" ("we", "us"), provides the TCM classics search service at tcmlens.com (the "Service"), which lets you search classical, public-domain Traditional Chinese Medicine texts such as the Treatise on Cold Damage in natural language, alongside this platform's own vernacular commentary and structured search results.

2. Not a medical service

The Service is subject to the Medical Disclaimer on this site, which is incorporated into these Terms. The Service does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescriptions.

3. Accounts and eligibility

Using search features requires signing in (Google/LINE OAuth or an email magic link). You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity on your account. Account sharing, automated abuse, and circumventing usage limits are prohibited.

4. Subscription and payment

The Free plan includes a one-time trial of 10 questions (no daily refresh). Premium is a subscription, currently priced at $20/month during our pilot period; pricing may change in the future. Any price change applies from your next renewal onward and does not affect a period you have already paid for. Payments are handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle: Paddle is the legal seller (reseller/merchant of record) for these transactions, and your payment, invoicing, and tax are handled by Paddle under Paddle's buyer terms. We receive a payout from Paddle.

5. Intellectual property

The classical texts themselves are in the public domain. This platform's vernacular commentary, syndrome-differentiation/search structure, interface, and code belong to us or our licensors. "TCMLens" is a registered trademark. None of the above may be reproduced, distributed, or commercially exploited without permission.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service for unlawful purposes, reverse-engineer it, scrape it at scale, interfere with its operation, or otherwise abuse it as described above. We may rate-limit or suspend accounts that violate this.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranty that search results are complete, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. This section does not limit the Medical Disclaimer.

8. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time (see the Refund Policy). We may suspend or terminate the Service if you violate these Terms.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
